Ways to create congestion
The people from the Highways Agency certainly deserve something for their recent “improvements” to the M56 at junction 7 at Bowdon. I’m not thinking a round of applause or a letter of commendation… more along the lines of a slap across the face with a wet fish or the sack. They have surpassed themselves by creating so much congestion when previously there was none.

Stockport Bus Station
Winter is definitely just around the corner as can be seen from all the fog across Stockport earlier this evening. Taken from the A6, this is quite obviously the bus station with the famous viaduct behind…

Old School
Am in F7 in the Renold Building at the university formerly known at UMIST. It’s nice to see the huge windows based computer projector over the blackboards still has a UMIST logo as the power saver image!

The whole world are engineers!
I’ve now seen everything, the misuse of the word “engineer” by seemingly the whole of the country… I passed a van on the motorway this morning which had emblazoned on the back and side in big letters “Landscape Engineers” – that would be gardeners to you and me.
