A selection of photographs taken around the time of the construction of the M63 between Portwood and Lancashire Hill in Stockport.

Motorway Construction being undertaken. Lancashire Hill, looking east.
Similar to previous but taken further down Lancashire Hill towards the Town Centre. An old mill building and concrete lagoon remain to the right of the photo.

Lancashire Hill has been closed to traffic and the access road to the former Tiviot Dale Railway Station excavated.

Similar to earlier photo, King Street East Bridge remains, the A560 Knightsbridge is yet to be built (photo right).
