Tom Hingley & the Lovers
This was one of the reasons Damian had come up to Blackburn. To be honest, apart from being told he was the lead singer with the Inspiral Carpets I had no idea who he was. So when this right nutter on the stage side of the barrier stood directly in front of me banging a drumstick with some extreme vigour against the barrier, I couldn’t have told you who he was… until the point when he got on stage and started singing. That’s when it clicked.

Great shots! Tom Hingley is a fantastic singer. I’ve never seen the Lovers live but I like their album. I think this band is a bit underrated.
