Bramall Hall, Bramhall

I think the photo of Bramall Hall in Bramhall looks a lot better with a sepia wash applied… it was taken earlier in the week.

If anyone knows why the h is missing from Bramall as in the hall but it’s included in Bramhall the place, i’d be interested to know. I’ve always wondered…

    apparrently in the doomsday book it’s called Bramale
    Bramall was chosen as the spelling closest to the doomsday book, by Hazel Grove and Bramhall Urban District Council…
