BBC Springwatch Festival, Manchester
I can’t believe it is a year since the last BBC Springwatch event in Manchester. To be fair, it was on a much smaller scale to what appears to be planned for this year and was a bit disappointing. Being a big bug collector, it was the one place I expected to find bugs… alas there were none! This year we are promised Hedgehogs, “bug performances” (maybe a Flea Circus!) and a return of this particular chap who I was really impressed with. Obviously everyone recognises him as PC Plum from the CBeebies programme Balamory.

I’ve never seen someone be able to silence an entire crowd of children and keep them enthrawled for any decent length of time. So there you go parents… you need to find out what’s the story in Balamory and bring them into Manchester on Saturday.
Time to get around to finally uploading some NatureCAM videos…

Just come back from the event in Angel Park. It was fantastic, we have had a brilliant day. Thanks to all who have worked hard there all day. A big thanks to the lady in the tee-pee who had to suffer my son most of the day with his free style drumming.

I have to agree, it was an impressive event this year, much larger than last year… expect photo’s of this years event to be uploaded tomorrow including the amusing “Troll Veggies”!
