Modern Manchester

I think this is the new Manchester Magistrates Court Building. It is certainly a rather interesting building anyway, one which I recall has won awards for its design.

Apparently it’s meant to resemble a filing cabinet to represent the offices. My mum was reading the blurb on the tram. She made the comment that anyone who actually works in an office would know they don’t generally let you pull more than one drawer out because they will fall over :p

This is not the new Magistrates’Court, which is next to the John Rylands Library. It is the new Civil Justice Centre, used by the High Court and County Court
