Mystery White Building

I think a little research is needed on this building. I spotted this little gem hidden away off a side street close to Piccadilly Railway Station. It has a temporary wooden fence surrounding it and appeared to be having some building work done to it.

    Did you ever find out what this is? Is it being cleaned (as the lower part of the building closest to the picture is considerably darker than the rest of it)? It’s certainly a lovely building and I’d be interested to know what it’s used / going to be used for.

    I haven’t as yet, i’m sure it is being redeveloped for some use. I think the top floor is a recent addition – it is something I have seen done around the Northern Quarter as buildings are redeveloped and turned into flats.

    When I have the opportunity to, i’ll go back and see if I can get a little closer – see if there are any signs up on the temporary wooden fencing around the building.

    I can now confirm the darker areas of stonework are actually Granite… i’m not sure what the lighter white material is.
