The Ukeladybirds

The main act for the evening was the Ukeladybirds, quite a successful performance as well.

The Gary Busey Conspiracy

Friday night was the first and possibly last performance by “The Gary Busey Conspiracy”. Formed only hours before, Burge, Matt & G-mini took to the stage area to play a selection of songs.

Nottingham Masters Tennis 2010

This weekend was the Nottingham Masters 2010. A sort of replacement exhibition event in place of the old Nottingham Open which was discontinued in 2008. The exhibition event moves to Manchester some time next week.

Possible future purchases…

This weekend was a classic car show at Tatton Park, i’ve included photo’s of a few cars which i’ve always fancied driving which were there. All I need is a bigger garage (and a lot of money!) first prior to making purchases…

Lancia Stratos

Austin Healey 3000

Triumph TR2 - i’ve never seen one in black before, I think it suits the colour.

Vauxhall Victor FE Transcontinental Estate - A huge beast of a car.

The Volvo Estate is clearly customisable… i’m not sure of it being considered a classic though.

Renault Fuego

Triumph Dolomite - Customised.

Lotus Esprit

Free films are back!

The Spinningfields free films have returned. This week to start off was the story of Ian Curtis, the lead singer with the band Joy Division. Luckily for film-goers bored by such a depressing production, it seems he committed suicide aged only 23 and hence the film wasn’t excessively long. There are some more cheerful films to come over the year…

Manchester City Airport

There be planes in central Manchester! Albert Square hasn’t been made into a runway but instead there is a RAF display. A Spitfire (replica?), Eurofighter and a Chinook helicopter are there for people to peruse…
